Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys variety in your work? Join our client, a Louisville-based custom manufacturing team, as an Assistant Model Shop Manager and play a vital role in creating innovative, high-quality prototypes. This is a growing LED Lighting manufacturer committed to quality, safety, and excellent customer service, and we’re looking for a motivated and detail oriented individual ready to make an impact in a team-oriented environment. Position will be Monday through Friday first shift with overtime rare. Full benefits including 401K, health, dental, vision, life. Position will be hourly at $23-$25 per hour.
This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives on variety and is eager to learn while contributing to a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Highlighted Duties:
- Collaborate with the Model Shop Manager to build and test custom prototypes
- Ensure materials and parts meet quality standards for the company and client
- Step in to support production assembly as needed
- Work out in shipping, and receiving loading and unloading trucks on occasion when the model shop is slow
- Bring a keen attention to detail to every aspect of your work.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Production Assembly or Quality Technician experience preferred
- Must have a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to use testing equipment such as spectrometers
- Ability to read (or learn to read) production drawings
- Ability to use caliper (precision measuring device)
- Ability to solder
- Ability to assemble and fasten parts
- Ability to understand low voltage electrical wiring
- Willingness to adapt and pitch in where needed
- A desire to grow and learn in a collaborative setting
