Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and is accountable for all business activities that relates to insurance & patient billing and collections
- Regularly provide upper management with revenue cycle reports and metrics
- Ensure all billing and collections processes are completed accurately and timely
- Regularly assess goals and metrics to identify process and efficiency improvements
- Ensure all billing and collections processes adhere to governmental guidelines
- Develop and maintain working relationships with clients
- Identify and resolve billing and collection discrepancies
- Identify staffing needs
- Screen, interview, and hire high caliber employees
- Assure productivity of each staff member
- Staff development
- Counsel staff with disciplinary and productivity issues
- Generates reports, analysis data and implements action plans to support team production and performance
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or healthcare administration preferred
- Expert knowledge of medical billing and collections
- Management experience
- 8+ years of revenue cycle management with direct reports
- Previous experience with MSO client relationship management
- Understand and demonstrate knowledge of revenue cycle processes, AR aging analysis and follow up
- Must have working knowledge of government collections processes (Medicaid and Medicare)
- Ability to identify trends
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships
- Excellent and effective communication skills
- Proven track record managing staff productivity and quality
- Proven track record of successful process improvement in account resolution
- Meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service

- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Athena
- Medical terminology
- Insurance carrier knowledge
- CPC preferred
