Meta is seeking an experienced attorney to join its employment law team as an Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment - Investigations. RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment - Investigations Responsibilities:
- Advising on internal investigations into potential misconduct, including assessing risk and partnering with investigators and investigative analysts on strategy, witness interviews, and forensics
- Building relationships with relevant stakeholders, including within the employment law team, other investigative teams, the People team, and the business
- Recommending disciplinary or other remedial actions based on investigation findings
- Participating in close-out meetings with investigators, the People team, and the impacted business
- Reviewing investigation debriefs and reports
- Assisting in periodic investigation-related reporting
- Advising on investigation processes and training programs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)
- 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience
- Knowledge of federal and applicable local labor and employment laws
- Experience both investigating and advising on investigations of employee complaints, including around harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower activity, and other integrity or policy-related concerns
- Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills
- Effective communication skills

- Familiarity with international employment issues
- Experience litigating employment matters
- Detail-oriented
- Hands-on worker with demonstrable experience building consensus across teams
- Experience leading, managing, or supervising others
