We are looking for an innovation-centric Technical Solution Architect (R&D), who is passionate about Digital Transformation in modern environments to join our IT R&D Digital Products Team. This role will be reporting to the Director of Engineering and Solution Architecture, R&D Digital Products. The Solution Architect will help accelerate designing, building software, product-oriented-deliveries, and platforms to deliver state-of-the-art innovative solutions adhering to well-architected-frameworks and delivery standards for excellence in execution. You'll lead a skilled team, with the potential to expand, focusing on Application Engineering, Application Development and Release Automation Engineering to achieve Architectural and Engineering excellence.
This exciting position will be based out of our Utrecht office in the Netherlands, Copenhagen, in Denmark or Princeton, in the US!
Responsibilities
This exciting opportunity is seeking to utilize your solution and technical expertise to immediately make a difference to building futuristic scientific solutions. Some of the responsibilities include:
Architect the development of technical designs for Genmab Research and Development.
Conduct current-state analysis, gap analysis, capability analysis, and document reference architecture for various R&D systems and functions.
Provide data architecture skills to support core solution architecting and integration of data sources, pipelines, and platforms, in collaboration with our Data & Analytics, and Data Science & AI colleagues.
Collaborate with POD Managers, Product Owners and Business Leaders to execute high-level designs of solutions and ensure alignment with business and scientific objectives.
Collaborate with other architects and IT&D functions to design and document innovative and optimal solutions for the R&D space.
Evaluate and select the best tools, platforms, and services for each solution, in alignment with Genmab's Enterprise standards, guidelines, and patterns, collaborating with our enterprise architecture function.
Support prototyping and demonstrate the feasibility and alternatives of the proposed solutions.
Lead and oversee the implementation and deployment of the solutions, engaging domain architects and vendors as needed.
Use and contribute to the company's standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
Liaise with AWS and other partners to leverage existing investments, tools, and technologies and bring in the best-in-breed, cost-effective and scalable solutions.
Co-create reusable and scalable technology components with other functional leaders.
Track, review, and provide feedback to the development teams.
Leverage Agile methodologies and ensure standards are met for test automation, quality, performance, security, and compliance.
Stay current on leading practices and modern technology trends in the fields of AI, ML, GenAI, NLP, data platforms, mesh architecture, high performance computing, infrastructure as code, etc.
The Technical Solution Architect is a self-motivated and independent professional who can handle complex architecture problems and lead IT R&D projects.
Adhere to the architecting principles and best practices within a regulated environment, dealing with GxP (GLP, GCP, GPvP) data and systems.
The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to design and implement innovative solutions.
Lead a skilled team, with the potential to expand, focusing on Application Engineering, Application Development and Release Automation Engineering.
Requirements
Experience in Life Sciences, Biotech or Pharma industry is a must have.
Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
10+ years of experience driving successful software development projects in technical roles such as software development, systems engineering or infrastructure administration.
Strong knowledge of Research and Development systems and functions such as Research informatics, Research data products, Lab systems automation, Development Operations, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory, integration and Data visualization.
At least five years of Cloud Solution Architecture experience (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).
Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, and security.
Extensive experience with data architecture, distributed systems and microservices.
Experience with APIs (Applications and Programming Interfaces), integrations, Data Lake and federation, data management, full stack development from user interface to database, Agile modes of delivery DevSecOps processes (tools such as GitLab), automation and testing in an enterprise environment.
Experience with machine learning, data science tools, operational systems using AI/ML.
Excellent Communication skills, problem solving skills, technical expertise, business process knowledge, business acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.
AWS Cloud Solution Architect Certification, preferred.
Certifications and experience in other cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure or GCP is nice to have.
Certifications in Artificial Intelligence, ML, Digital innovation strategies are nice to have.
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$138,750.00---$231,250.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
