Role Overview
The Associate Director will lead the Research Services team, ensuring high-quality public service and enhancing library resources. Responsibilities include:
- Developing strategic vision for public and technical services.
- Overseeing daily operations and special projects.
- Fostering an inclusive environment for all users.
- Engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Managing reference and reading room operations.
- Analyzing service metrics to improve user experience.
- Implementing new technologies to enhance services.
- Leading professional development for staff.
Qualifications
- Experience in research library reference services.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of African American history preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library and Information Studies or equivalent.
