About the Job
Eli Lilly and Company seeks an Associate Director, Procurement to provide procurement support for Lilly’s API commercialization process for products. Source active pharmaceutical ingredients, custom intermediates, and key starting materials for pre-commercial and commercial products. Identify sourcing projects that reduce risk, timeline, or cost and add value without sacrificing quality. Conduct market analysis, issue RFPs, managing the supplier selection process, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing supplier relations. Study external markets and lead due diligence. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Procurement, Biology, Manufacturing, Finance, or a related field and 3 years of experience with procurement or manufacturing. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Procurement, Biology, Manufacturing, Finance, or a related field and 3 years of experience with procurement or manufacturing, employer will accept 5 years of experience with procurement or manufacturing. Experience must include a minimum of: 3 years of experience with managing third party relationships including performing market analysis, issuing RFPs, negotiating contracts, and resolving supply chain issues; 3 years of experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing facility operations; 3 years of experience with practical application of cGMP and Quality standard practices related to the pharmaceutical business and sourcing materials; 3 years of experience with performing detailed spend analysis and forecasting; and 3 years of experience with commercial law and practical application of business law. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. #LI-DNI
