Compensation for this role will vary based on education, experience, skills, and location, with an anticipated range of $145,500 - $213,400.
Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) are experts in their therapeutic areas, providing essential scientific information to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and facilitating research collaborations. MSLs play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Lilly and the scientific community, ensuring that critical clinical insights inform our research and development strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scientific & Clinical Knowledge: MSLs deliver precise scientific information to address HCP needs and clinical care gaps, requiring continuous learning and expertise in their therapeutic areas.
- Full Spectrum SE/CE Support: MSLs utilize emotional intelligence and strategic thinking to enhance HCP experiences and facilitate research opportunities.
- Field Execution, Geo Management, and Productivity: MSLs analyze data to engage effectively with SEs/CEs, implementing strategic territory plans and ensuring compliance across roles.
- Strategic Vision and Leadership: MSLs synthesize customer insights for internal teams, fostering collaboration and adapting to evolving business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or a master's/bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
- Field-based role requiring travel up to 80%.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience in neuroscience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and digital skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
- Familiarity with health systems and medical research is a plus.
