Job Description
Purpose
Default point of contact for BTS with the business; brokers contracts between BTS and the business, and resolves client and BTS relationship issues. Manages and provides expert advice on, the selection, design, justification, implementation and business use of information systems. Analyzes business processes; elicits, analyzes, and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing technology components. Translates business requirements into functional requirements; performs data and process modeling; manages change; and leads, coordinates / performs testing, verification, and validation of requirements.
Infrastructure Administrator in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), youll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.
Provides direct support to an assigned area. Applies relevant principles to support projects and ongoing activities. Completes tasks which support a project or functional team.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the organization's vision, goals, and strategies. Takes ownership and lead role in coordinating Infrastructure operations, systems and technology (servers, storage, networks, and manufacturing end points) and related initiatives at the site level.
- Understands the team's priorities appropriately and determines the team's critical success factors. Responsible for actions required by itself and delivery partners.
- Establish and maintain high-quality relationships with all levels within the organization. Understand client's business needs and requirements.
- Works with Global and Business IT teams to recommend and implement technologies and strategies within the local sites. Interacts with Managed service partners and Global peers to ensure that changes, requests, and incidents to the infrastructure operations at the site level are achieved following BTS Infrastructure services policies and standards.
- May negotiate, secure, oversee and ensure that resources are available to meet the daily operational demands of the site.
- Responsible for all aspects of resource coordination, setting expectations, communicating with stakeholders and delivering to meet business needs.
- Ensures IT compliance and adherence to applicable internal and external regulations and guidelines for the Infrastructure Operations area (CCF, servers, and storage)
- Maintain site metrics for operational support delivery, overall health of IT infrastructure and develop continuous improvement initiatives to promote future health of the site.
- Manages appropriate audit preparation and representation/participation and audit responses to GXP areas under the BTS Infrastructure operations (CCF, servers, storage, and areas.
- Responsible for coordinating local infrastructure operations projects, maintenance contracts, and expenses within budget. Inventory management and accuracy of local infrastructure operations (CCF, servers, and storage) assets as per Finance and BTS standards and policies.
- Responsible for assuring that issues and requests assigned to the infrastructure operations team are resolved and completed appropriately and timely as established in the BTS Infrastructure Services organization metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree plus 6years technical experience, or Masters degree plus 5years experience.
- Infrastructure design and security hardening knowledge.
- Project Management skills
- Supervisory skills (1 - 3 years)
- Experience Administration of servers and storage environments
- Knowledge of qualification of computerized systems (servers, PCs, printers, etc.)
- Hardware and OS equipment skills (PCs, MS Office applications, Windows, VMWare).
- Administration and management of network devices (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Best practices for a safe and controlled environment.
- Clear interpersonal communication, proofreading, editing, and formatting skills.
Preferred:
- Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimatelypay more or less than the posted range.
