We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Associate Attorney - Litigation to join our esteemed legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to delve into a rich blend of litigation, contract, and construction law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealing with bonds, development, contractors, and insurance claims. The role demands a deep understanding of the legal industry and a passion for delivering top-notch legal services to our clients. The successful candidate will be a part of a collaborative team and will play a key role in managing complex legal matters, ensuring our clients receive the highest level of representation.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
2. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
3. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to guide case strategy.
4. Draft and review various legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and other litigation materials.
5. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
6. Manage all phases of the litigation process to include pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement and appeal.
7. Develop strategies and negotiate settlements in complex construction and insurance claim cases.
8. Liaise with contractors, insurers, and other parties to ensure our clients' interests are protected and advanced.
9. Stay abreast of changes in legislation related to the construction industry and insurance claims.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation with a focus on contract and construction law.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. Proven experience with bond, development, contractors, and insurance claims.
5. Exceptional research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws.
7. Ability to manage a large caseload and work within strict deadlines.
8. Ability to foster positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
9. Strong ethical and professional standards.
10. Proficiency in legal research software and MS Office Suite.
