Job Details
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, attending court conferences, reviewing pleadings and preparing for and going to trial.
Conduct legal research and draft complex pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
Regularly handle court appearances, mediations and depositions.
Consult with clients to ascertain and address their legal needs.
Review and Strategically Analyze Contract and Business Agreements
Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions.
Draft and negotiate real estate transactions.
Draft routine leases and amendments.
Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before real estate transactions are executed.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve cases favorably.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with clients, opposing counsel, court, and other parties.
Contribute to firm growth by establishing and maintaining new clients and strong relationships with clients.
Stay updated with changes in law, court decisions, and other legal matters that could impact the firm's clients.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Florida Bar Member for at least 10 years
A minimum of 10 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in commercial litigation.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Must be fully Bilingual English Spanish
Proven experience in managing a full caseload.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Ability to set and meet own deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Unwavering ethics and a high level of professionalism.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
