We have partnered with a dynamic and growing law firm specializing in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury, auto injury, and insurance bad faith. We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven attorney to work alongside experienced litigators and handle a variety of complex cases in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in personal injury, auto injury, and insurance bad faith cases from intake through trial.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Provide counsel to clients, keeping them informed about the status of their cases.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and adjusters.
- Conduct depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings as needed.
- Prepare and present compelling arguments in court, ensuring that clients' interests are vigorously represented.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal issues and case strategies.
- Keep detailed records of case activities, maintaining deadlines and timelines for each case.
- Stay current on case law, legal trends, and statutes in personal injury, auto injury, and insurance bad faith litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required). Kansas licensure is a plus.
- 3-10 years of civil litigation experience, specifically in personal injury, auto injury, and insurance bad faith matters.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Energetic, driven, and results-oriented, with a passion for client advocacy and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
