Our law firm is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and committed Permanent Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense. As a key member of our legal team, you will be at the forefront of managing and driving complex insurance defense cases. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance coverage litigation, automobile negligence, premise liability, and insurance defense. The ideal candidate will be a solution-oriented, proactive individual with excellent judgment and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle a wide variety of insurance defense cases independently, from initial client meeting to case resolution.
2. Conduct extensive and detailed legal research to identify the best defense strategies.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.
4. Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
6. Provide legal advice to clients regarding insurance matters, including coverage disputes and negligence claims.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to stay abreast of current trends in insurance defense.
9. Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and legal developments.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, including experience with insurance coverage litigation, automobile negligence, and premise liability.
4. Proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving favorable outcomes.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in using legal research software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
11. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
