Our client is actively recruiting for a junior attorney to join their bankruptcy and creditors' rights complex litigation team in Washington D.C.. The opportunity is with a well respected Vault recognized law firm that specializes in bankruptcy, tax law, insolvencies, corporate litigation, political law, and other complex financial and commercial disputes.
Graduates from the class of 2021 or 2022 with prior law firm, government, or clerkship experience are welcome to apply. Previous expsoure to bankruptcy and/or creditors' rights litigation is preferred, but not required. We are seeking attorneys with strong academic credentials from a top law school, exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team player with sound judgement. The incoming associate will join a collaborative team of associates and senior partner and contribute in developing case strategies for complex bankruptcy, insolvency, and creditor's rights proceedings.
This is a full-time position wth competitive compensation ($225,000+), sign on bonuses, relocation assistance, and excellent firm paid benefits (medical, dental, vision). The firm represents tort claimants, secured, and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy courts across the country and offer comprehensive services for all things commercial bankruptcy, including valuation disputes, fraudulent conveyance claims, successor liability issues, discovery disputes and related litigation, insolvency, substantive consolidation, plan confirmation, and other subjects of interest to creditors. We are seeking junior attorneys admitted to practice in Washington D.C. from the class of 2021 or 2022 with prior law firm, government, or clerkship experience and an excellent academic background. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are required for success in this role.

- Represent clients in sophisticated bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases.
- Handle complex litigation matters related to creditor’s rights, including collections, foreclosures, and secured transactions.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Negotiate settlements and work with opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
- Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
