The Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center, located at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, is an award winning and leading provider of early childhood education in South Jersey for over 50 years. We offer full day infant/toddler care, nursery school and preschool, full day certified Kindergarten, pre-K and transitional Kindergarten for ages 6 weeks through 6 years.

We are hiring Assistant Teachers

Hours: Monday-Friday - 8:00am-5:30pm or 8:00am-6:00pm (Flexibility would be a plus)

Salary Pay:$17/hour

Assist Head Teacher in all areas of classroom needs.Creates a safe, nurturing environment. Interacts with parents in a positive manner.Helps administer curriculum in classroom. Attends seminars, meetings, etc. Is responsive to the needs of the JCC.

It is essential that all staff participate in a variety of agency-wide and interdepartmental activities. Staff should be knowledgeable about our agency and be able to respond appropriately with accurate information.

Helps administer curriculum.

Keeps rooms attractive and in good order.

Makes sure that lunch and snack needs are accommodated.

Interacts with parents within Head teachers.

Attends staff meetings/professional development seminars.

Interacts with children in a positive manner.

Motivates children and creates an enjoyable atmosphere.

Daily journal record keeping via Tadpoles.

Daily interaction with parents.

Must be able to lift children up to 40 pounds several times per day.

Works with committees within the ECE Department and is available for JCC special eventscommittees and Teachers' Meetings.

Change diapers as needed according to state guidelines and can teach others if needed.

• High school graduate with at least two yearscollege preferred.
• Ability to maintain a high level ofconfidentiality.
• Ability to perform work that is routine and strongattention to details.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent project management, customer service, organization, and time management skills.

$25,000 - $35,000

The Katz JCC houses a double gymnasium, 2 indoor pools, 2 outdoor pools, 2elevators, 4 group wellness rooms, a state-of-the art fitness center withcardio and strength training equipment, 2 full size gymnasiums, a 16-room earlychildhood center with an Imaginarium climbing play structure, teen and adultlounges, a kosher caf?, a physical therapy facility, an art gallery, a library,a 5,000 square foot social hall & an XRKADE interactive exer-gaming studio.

The Katz JCC operates the largest Jewish Day Camp in North America, with anannual, average enrollment of 1,600 campers. The JCC Camps is located inMedford, NJ and has exceptional facilities.

The JCC ACHaD special needs department provides social and recreationalactivities ranging from a basketball league to Jewish holiday celebration forboth children & adults with physical and mental disabilities.

The JCC Membership serves 14,000 members that range from infants, tochildren and teens, to active adults to the frail elderly.

Our nationally accredited Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Departmentservesover 300 children in full and half day programs from infants and toddlers tokindergarten students.

Just 4 Kids After School Programserves over 100 elementary andmiddle-school aged children from over 20 local schools.

JCC Festival of Arts, Books & Culture brings authors, entertainers andspeakers to the community. Annual attendance is approximately 10,000 people.

Sun National Bank Junior Maccabi Basketball Leagueserves 400 children,kindergarten through 9th grade.

Senior Congregate Meal Programserves over 100 hot kosher meals to seniors5 days per week as well as a cure for loneliness.

Kidslandserves families in the Delaware valley with a day of hands-on funand entertainment including some health & safety workshops.

The Annual Sports Award Dinner attracts major professional athletes asspeakers and recognizes local leaders.
