We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Permanent Assistant Superintendent with a strong background in Healthcare Construction. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team working on groundbreaking construction projects in the healthcare sector. This role will be pivotal in managing and executing construction renovations, ground-up projects, additions, expansions, and remodels of Medical Office Buildings (MOB) and healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Assistant Superintendent, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting the Superintendent in overseeing all stages of project life cycle, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases.
2. Coordinating and supervising all construction activities, ensuring all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
3. Managing and coordinating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless execution of projects.
4. Overseeing the renovation and remodeling of healthcare facilities, ensuring all work meets or exceeds the requirements of the healthcare industry.
5. Leading and managing the Tenant Improvement (TI) process, ensuring all changes are properly documented and implemented.
6. Conducting regular site inspections and enforcing strict quality control measures.
7. Resolving any issues or delays that may affect the project schedule or budget.
8. Providing regular progress updates to the project team, stakeholders, and clients.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Assistant Superintendent position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, specifically in healthcare construction and renovations.
2. Proven experience in managing ground-up, addition, expansion, and remodeling projects of healthcare facilities.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, and safety regulations specific to the healthcare industry.
4. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of construction professionals.
6. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
7. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
8. Certifications in healthcare construction, such as Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC), are a plus.
