We require a deadline-oriented Assistant Construction Superintendent to assist with our project and serve as a liaison between different project parties. The on-site construction team will be led and managed by the construction superintendent, who will also keep an eye on all work being done. The site's orderliness and adherence to safety rules will be the responsibility of the construction superintendent. You will make sure that quality standards are met and that all tools and supplies are constantly on hand. To be successful in this role, you should finish projects on schedule, within budget, and without sacrificing quality.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the construction superintendent on the job.
- Supervising and managing the construction crew on-site.
- Managing and coordinating all on-site work.
- Being present at production meetings.
- Examining the schedule and budget, becoming familiar with them, and making sure they are followed.
- Ensuring that standards of quality are met.
- Placing material orders and being in charge of the tools and supplies on the job site.
- Adhering to the project schedule to guarantee that deadlines are met.
- Controlling and ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with safety regulations on-site.
- Keeping track of site staff records, including daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
- Coordinating approvals with inspection authorities.
- Ensure project management by planning out all necessary tools, resources, and subcontractors to complete all projects on schedule and within the allotted spending limits.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an assistant construction superintendent
- Excel and Word proficiency and Microsoft Office suites
- Proficient in CAE and CAD applications, as well as scheduling software
- Capable of taking and uploading digital pictures
- Developed effective project management skills
- The ability to operate heavy machinery and lift 40 pounds
- The capacity to comprehend and construct in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and other documents
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
