Sandri Energy is hiring for an Assistant Manager position at our Rockingham, VT convenience store. We are a family-owned business operating 18 stores across Western Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Sandri is dedicated to maintaining safe, welcoming locations where customers (and their cars) can stay fueled and ready to go. 

Store Location: 809 Rockingham Road, Rockingham, VT 

Hourly Position 

40 hours per week, must be available weekends as scheduling dictates. 

Key Responsibilities 

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth store operations by: 

• Assisting the Store Manager in supervising and training staff. 
• Helping with inventory management and ordering supplies. 
• Managing deposits, shift paperwork, verifying cash drawer counts, and conducting lottery audits. 
• Acting as a keyholder for store opening and closing. 
• Working register shifts, including scanning purchases, processing payments, and making accurate change. 
• Ensuring compliance with age-restricted sales by verifying IDs. 
• Stocking shelves, coolers, and checking in orders. 
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, wiping counters and gas pumps, salting sidewalks, and handling trash and recycling. 

What We’re Looking For 

The ideal Assistant Manager will have: 

• At least 1 year of retail experience. 
• Excellent cash handling skills. 
• Strong communication abilities and a commitment to reliable attendance. 
• A focus on customer service excellence. 
• Dedication to ensuring alcohol and tobacco sales are only made to customers over 21 with valid ID. 
• A proactive approach to maintaining a clean, stocked, and safe store environment.
