Assistant Project Manager from Elgen Staffing

About the Job
Our client, a regional fabricator of natural stone, has an immediate need for an experienced, Assistant Project Manager, to join their winning team in Westbury.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review architectural drawings, estimates, shop drawings and field dimensions.
- Research materials, confirm quantities, order and track deliveries throughout the life of the project.
- Perform administrative duties including creating of purchase orders, change orders & requests for information, submitting samples & other submittals and filing digital information & paperwork.
- Maintain organized job files on company servers.
- Track job budgets and update project status sheets to assist Project Manager in hitting deadlines and profitability targets.
- Be organized and engaged enough in the projects you are working on to answer basic questions and produce information and backup as needed.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree strong preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction and a familiarity with reading blueprints is required.
- Experience with construction accounting software, drawing programs such as AutoCAD and performing quantity take-offs is preferred
