PROJECT MANAGER
WITH ESTIMATING & MITIGATION EXPERIENCE - Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Florida
JOB SUMMARY
This role requires an eye for detail, knowledge of building components and how buildings are structurally put together. Deadlines must be met for program losses as well as for the customer. Communication is key between customer, client and anyone who touches each job.
MUST have experience:
- Bidding jobs for small to large losses; multi-family & commercial
- Maintain good relationships with adjustors/agents/property managers.
- Working effectively with other Estimators & Project Managers
- Managing work crews in sub trades
- Expert level with Xactimate
- Restorationindustry experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to all leads.
- Order “Emergency Services” if required.
- Be available 24/7/365 for emergencies.
- Xactimate expert.
- Inspect jobsite.
- Scope damages and prepare estimate.
- Obtain and meet necessary sub-contractors.
- Take required digital photos of damages and upload.
- Communicate with Program Coordinator(s) to keep files up to date.
- Write Changes Orders and Addendums.
- Obtain signature from customer on Work Authorization, specifications and /or proposals.
- Explain all charges to customer, negotiate and verify payment setup.
- Maintain a relationship with customer throughout the project.
- Contact necessary insurance company personnel regarding coverage issues, code upgrades, questions or scope regarding loss to resolve.
- Follow up, get agreed cost and associated information.
- Get dollar amount approval (when possible) prior to job setup.
- Maintain ongoing paperwork.
- Meet with Project Manager, customer, adjustor.
- Review status of projects weekly.
- Review job cost sheets after Project Manager has approved invoices.
- Complete a working estimate and Work Order.
- Prepare billing and handle collections.
- Market new and existing adjustors/agents/property managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of valid driver’s license.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- No felony convictions (background check).
- Have dependable personal transportation.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Ability to produce estimate using Xactimate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to climb stairs, scaffold and ladders.
- Requires one to be able to crawl through attics and crawlspaces as needed.
- Ability to bend, squat, lift frequently and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Be available 24/7/365 to handle any emergency.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.
- May occasionally work on slippery or uneven surfaces.
- Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Salary open to market value.
- Project will include schools, hospitals, medical spaces, hotels, high rise office space, and condominiums.
