About the Job
Duke's is now looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our CCTV team in Plymouth, MI!
As the Assistant Project Manager, you will work directly with the Project Management Team to assist with organizing, planning, and communication of day-to-day tasks to ensure successful project completion and outcomes for all stakeholders. The primary office location will be in Plymouth with regular visits in the field for customer and project site visits.

What You Will Do:
- Attend pre-bid, kick off meetings and project process meetings
- Assist with predicting resources needed to accomplish objectives and manage them in an effective and efficient manner
- Assist with organization of bidding, estimating, and proposal submissions
- Assist with developing and managing a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Assist with managing contract preparation, deliverables, and contract closeout
- Communicate and follow up with managers and customers about their specific projects
- Assist with tracking project progress and provide project updates on a consistent basis to all stakeholders on strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project scope
- Assist with measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Assist with reviewing project backlog for scheduling
- Assist with invoicing
- Other duties as assigned

- Have a college degree in Construction Management or related field, preferred
- Have at least 1 year of experience supporting projects
- Have at least 1 year of experience in underground infrastructure industry, preferred
- Have at least 1 year of experience in a leading and coaching others
- Are able and willing to work in both an office setting and doing regular visits in the field
- Have strong working knowledge of project management concepts
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers in person, during an online presentation, telephone, and/or video meeting
- Are a strong critical thinker with the ability to solve problems
- Have strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Have strong computer skills required such as Microsoft Office Suite/365, enterprise reporting systems, project management tools and software
- Have solid leadership and coaching skills
- Are able to travel as needed
