Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Overview: We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team at a leading general contracting firm specializing in commercial construction. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in overseeing and coordinating various construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress, track project milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, estimating costs, and managing project expenses.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications throughout the construction process.
- Support the Project Manager in resolving project issues, conflicts, and changes as they arise.
- Collaborate with project teams to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Previous experience in a construction-related role, with exposure to project management processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
