Assistant Manager - Self-Storage Facility

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and outgoing Assistant Manager to join our team at a busy self-storage facility. As an Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the Facility Manager to support day-to-day operations, including site maintenance, tenant interaction, sales, and administrative tasks. This is a customer-focused role where you will help increase occupancy, promote storage deals, and maintain a clean and organized facility. The ideal candidate will also have basic handyman skills and the ability to perform minor repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily operations of the self-storage facility.
• Conduct property inspections and ensure cleanliness of the site and units.
• Show units and provide tours to prospective tenants.
• Field incoming sales calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
• Complete rental leases and process payments.
• Handle tenant information and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Promote available units and storage deals to meet sales goals.
• Manage administrative tasks including filing, paperwork, and merchandise sales.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance around the facility as needed, such as fixing locks, light fixtures, and doors.

Additional Duties:

• Candidates with handyman skills, including the ability to perform general repairs and maintenance, are highly desired. While this is not a dedicated handyman role, having these skills will be an advantage and is an important part of the position.

Qualifications:

• Outgoing, motivated, and sales-savvy individuals.
• Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-first attitude.
• Proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance (some off-site driving may be required).
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or facility maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
