Assistant Office Mgr. (HUD experience) w/2-5 years + experience with STRONG HUD policies/rules. (rentals/property)
The Assistant Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property. The position requires a person who is motivated, flexible and a team player. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years experience in the HUD Project Based Voucher program and able to take ownership of their work environment and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise the day-to-day operations of the properly, including, but not limited to leasing, maintenance, accounting and customer service
* Manage the daily operations of the office and maintenance staffs including hiring, coaching, performance, training, development and termination
* Ensure all office staff is aware of and complies with local laws pertaining to property management, HUD rules and regulations
* Ensure all staff is aware of and complies with company policies and procedures pertaining to leasing
* Ensure all resident certifications are completed in a timely fashion
* Ensure the property is prepared for all agency audits including MOR and REAC audits
- Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate and oversee the leasing process, including application review, lease preparation, and move-in/move-out procedures
- Oversee maintenance requests and coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain accurate records and files related to leasing, resident information, and property maintenance
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality service delivery
Experience:
- Minimum of 2- 5 + years of experience as a Community Manager or Assistant Mgr.
- Strong knowledge of HUD Rules/Policies, leasing procedures, contracts, and fair housing laws
- Experience with data entry and file management systems
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to property management
Temp to perm position
$ 17.00- 19.00 ($ depending on experience)
Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm.
