The Critical Care Clinical Assistant Manager (CCCAM) provides clinical oversight and direction for AMH’s Critical Care Transport (Air and Ground) (CCTAG) department. The CCCAM oversees the performance of the critical care clinicians performing these transports. The CCCAM will be engaged in procedure and policy development, personnel and performance improvement, clinical competency, education, chart and performance review, professional and community outreach, and evaluation/incorporation of progressive/advancing clinical care. Working with the Atlantic Mobile Health Clinical Manager and the Atlantic Mobile Health Operations Manager, the CCCAM ensures clinical leadership and operational excellence through the ongoing training of all new and existing air and ground SCTU/critical care clinicians to provide safe and comprehensive care to all patients in the out of hospital setting.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Ensure continual delivery of high-quality, safe, progressive CCTAG transports.
• Work as an integral part of the AMH Clinical team
• Adopt and implement innovative practices to improve the clinical abilities of the CCTAG clinicians
• Develop and deliver a program of orientation as part of the clinical onboarding of all CCTAG clinicians
• Ensure that the CCTAG clinicians remain competent in all CCTAG equipment, clinical policies and protocols, and clinical standards
• Provide structured feedback and educational initiatives for all CCTAG clinicians
• Conduct systematic chart review to advance and enhance shared learning opportunities, including chart review as required by OEMS regulation and accreditation standards
• Develop / oversee a regular schedule of clinical practice (i.e., quarterly airway competency) competencies evaluation, and continuing education for CCTAG clinicians
• Functions in the clinical setting as a CCTAG team member as needed to maintain clinical competency, evaluate / observe CCTAG clinicians, and support delivery of high-quality care
• Participate in all Medical Oversight Board / QA audit committee meetings and other meetings as assigned
• Assist in compilation of clinical statistics, including GAMUT data submissions
• Assist with continuous quality improvement activities across CCTAG in conjunction with the AMH Clinical Manager and AMH Operations Manager
• Assist the Accreditation Coordinator with CAMTS and CAAS Accreditation, including the continued evaluation and compliance once accreditation is achieved
• Responsible for the on-going and continual education of the CCTAG Clinicians
• Assist the communications center /dispatch with all clinical support questions as needed, included the appropriate triage tiered response and resource alignment
• Along with the CCOAM, works to set the tone of clinical excellence in patient care and safety
• Operates as Administrator on Call (AOC)/Critical Care AOC on a rotational basis

• Atlantic Mobile Health (AMH) Clinical Director
• Dotted line reporting to AMH Operations Manager
Supervises:
• AMH CCTAG Clinicians (Paramedics / MICNs, Nurses, EMTs)
• Emergency Services staff when AOC
• AMH CCTAG Clinician candidates
• Observers
