The Stand - Assistant Kitchen Manager

The Stand is a fast-casual dining restaurant with 20 locations across Orange County, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, and Houston Texas. As we continue to grow and open multiple locations, we are looking for highly skilled and motivated leaders to join our team.
Assistant Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor kitchen team members
- Ensure meal segment efficiency and production
- Manage food purchasing and budgets
- Ensure consistency and portioning of all food products
- Monitor upkeep, repair, and maintenance of kitchen equipment
* Must be 18 years of age or older
Assistant Kitchen Manager Required Skills:
- Experience in salad, fry, grill, and expo stations
- Ability to oversee daily prep lists
- Display high-functioning organizational skills
- Ability to order according to budget/pars and ensure delivery receipt from vendors
- Proactive, punctual, and excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and ready for a challenge
Essential Functions:
- Run multiple kitchen stations, including salads, fry, grill, and expo
- Ensure adherence to build guides for every item on the menu
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
- Be a team player and demonstrate efficient communication skills
- Exemplify our mission and culture
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain stations by practicing good safety and sanitation procedures
Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
- Repetitive bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Repetitive use of hands, including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Occasionally access high storage shelving with the use of a step ladder
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including steam, high kitchen temperatures, humidity, freezers, refrigerators, indoor air conditioning, and outdoor/patio conditions
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Five days a week, including weekends and holidays, approximately 40-45 hours per week
