The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about preparing an amazing dining experience for our guests using healthy, structured food preparation specifications. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will work closely with the General Manager to deliver a memorable experience for the restaurant's guests and associates. The Assistant Kitchen Manager position offers an opportunity to work alongside a group of professional, hard-working, energetic people who are all empowered to do whatever it takes to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ability to work in a team environment and lead the kitchen staff in following the prescribed systems is essential to this position. This position requires a minimum of two-years of kitchen experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

Experience and Personnel Development:

• Participate in the hiring, orienting, training, and development of personnel within the kitchen area.
• Directly supervise, guide, and motivate kitchen personnel to ensure efficient operations.

Menu and Food Preparation:

• Daily review and evaluation of event sheets to create preparation sheets.
• Monitor food inventories and minimize waste through effective utilization.
• Contribute to the development of recipes and plate specifications.
• Ensure timely and attractive presentation of all food items and dishes.

Sanitation and Quality Control:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and support areas to meet health standards and hotel policies.
• Monitor portion sizes to maintain consistency and control costs.
• Monitor the quality and timeliness of food preparation to uphold standards.

Financial Management and Reporting:

• Participate in monthly inventory processes.
• Control costs through efficient inventory management and portion control.
• Complete appropriate Serve-Safe and food safety classes as required.

What you will bring:

• High School or G.E.D.
• Requires a minimum of two years of kitchen experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Computer/Technical skills are a plus.
• Carrying/Lifting to 50 pounds.
• Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
