Assistant Kitchen Manager (Boca Raton) - Skillets

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Kitchen Manager to support and assist our Kitchen Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen. As an Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and leading a team of kitchen staff.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations and best practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary or management certifications are a plus

Responsibilities:

• Monitor food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
• Assist in hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and managing performance
• Enforce strict food safety procedures and practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to optimize kitchen operations, streamline processes, and improve efficiency
• Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and properly maintained
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and cooperation among kitchen staff
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new techniques, and innovations in the culinary field
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Kitchen Manager
