About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Health Services Director to join our team and oversee all facets of the Assisted Living at our community. The Assistant Health Services Director will work closely with the Health Services Director to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in the leasing and marketing success of our community, embodying the mission, vision, values, and goals of Senior Star.
Essential Job Functions:
Overseeing All Aspects of Memory Care Operations:
- Assist in operating the department in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operations and maintain state licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Serve as a liaison with governing bodies, surveyors, and stakeholders.
- Manage budget and income objectives, preparing and submitting reports as required.
- Maintain records and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the community.
Overseeing Assisted Living/Memory Care Staff:
- Collaborate with Health Services Director to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Recruit, screen, and interview new personnel.
- Supervise training, development, and performance evaluations of staff.
- Educate staff on policies, procedures, safety, and emergency protocols.
- Facilitate regular staff meetings and in-service education sessions.
Assistance of Residents:
- Assess residents for eligibility and provide direct care assistance.
- Maintain personal contact with residents and families.
- Support program directors in enriching the lives of seniors.
- Coordinate services to meet residents' needs and service plan goals.
Additional Responsibilities: The Assistant Health Services Director may be assigned additional duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of management experience and one year of direct resident care in healthcare.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Ability to meet physical, mental, and emotional demands of the position.
- Strong management, administrative, and confidentiality skills.

- Valid RN License
