The Charter Township of Chesterfield is looking for an experienced financial professional for the role of Assistant Director - Finance & Budget for the Public Services/Works Department.
Under the general guidance and direction of the Director of Public Services, this position is responsible for the daily fiscal management and oversite of the Department's operating and capital budgets. The duties include, but are not limited to; maintains and monitors the operating and capital budget development process; analyzes and monitors current revenues and expenditures for variance against the adopted budget; provides analysis of contingency requests, position costs, and other operational issues; performs financial data analysis and provides recommendations to the Director; develops, tracks and updates the department Capital Improvement Plan (CIP); coordinates, manages and tracks, from inception to close, all financial processes for all projects, including, but not limited to, Special Assessment District (SAD), and road and sidewalk projects; ensures contract activities comply with local ordinances, applicable administrative procedures and Federal and state laws; Reports financial data and status as required by federal and state authorities; performs related duties as assigned.

Starting salary is $80,532,72 (2025 Rate)
