Responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing day-to-day nursing operations.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care to ensure quality and resident satisfaction.
- Participate in budget planning and management related to nursing services.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance nursing care delivery.
- Provide leadership and support during emergencies or challenging situations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical practices and protocols.
Qualifications of an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in long-term care.
- Strong clinical and managerial skills.
- Experiencein LTC is preferred
- Responsible, ready, and eager to work
