POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
Qualification/Responsibilities:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Strong assessment skills
- Knowledge of PCC
- Assist in organizing, developing and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility
- Infection Preventionist certificate preferred
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in long term care.
- Ideal candidate would possess strong leadership and organizational skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Shift & Wage:
- Full-Time Opportunity Available
- Shifts Needed: Day Shift
- Wage: Competitive based on experience
- Sign-on Bonus: $8,000 (paid out in quarterly installments of $2,000)
