A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADON As an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you are responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in the overall management and supervision of nursing care in the facility. You are also responsible in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to residents/patients by providing leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence. The ADON contributes to the overall success and reputation of the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING (ADON)
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing practice in long-term care facilities.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
