Overview:We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Corporate Counsel to join our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and supporting contracting for our US team across all lines of business and corporate areas.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the candidate should have significant experience in supporting professional services firms. Additionally, the selected applicant will have the opportunity to expand their role into other legal functions within the business based on their abilities, experience, and desire.
In this client-facing position, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of establishing solid relationships and possess a polished and highly personable demeanor. We are seeking a self-starter who has taken control of their career to date and is eager to make a significant impact. This role presents a great opportunity for someone looking to transition in-house or for someone with existing in-house experience who is ready to take their career to the next level.
How you'll make an impact:- Supervise the implementation of agreements, negotiate to secure agreed objectives, and coordinate the work of all parties involved
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations, with a strong focus on good governance and our shared values, particularly putting clients at the heart of our business
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About you:
Must be a member in good standing of a US Bar
Minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience in contract drafting and negotiation at a law firm or in-house
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled lawyer with strategic business acumen
- Self-directed, initiative-driven, and goal-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills, accustomed to working and engaging with a diverse team of people
