Job Details
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced finance team in an industry-leading company. The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in managing and controlling the financial processes and systems within the organization, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant regulations. The role will also play a key role in the implementation of new accounting standards and the documentation of accounting policies.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
2. Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
3. Performing balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, identifying and explaining variances.
4. Coordinating with various departments to consolidate financial information and prepare consolidated financial statements.
5. Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and control.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including sales and property tax laws.
7. Managing the preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
8. Assisting with internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and information.
9. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of FASB standards and staying updated on changes.
10. Performing other related duties as assigned, including inventory management, policy development, and financial services.
Qualifications
1. A CPA is a MUST
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
3. Experience, including both public accounting (Big 10) and private company experience
