Assistant Bookkeeper
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join their client's team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a temporary position with a 6-8 month contract, perfect for those looking to expand their experience in bookkeeping and office support within a professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform credit card reconciliations.
- Document transaction details accurately.
- Prepare financial reports and statements.
- Fact-check accounting data and correct discrepancies.
- Record daily financial transactions and ensure balanced general ledgers.
- Reconcile statements at month-end.
- Manage and resolve merchant chargebacks.
- Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assist in answering and routing office phone calls.
- Scan and organize supporting documents into the file system.
- Process e-commerce payment reports.
- Provide backup support for team members during absences.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Experience: Prior experience in bookkeeping or a similar role preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Understanding of office management and customer service practices.
- Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Benefits:
This is a temporary role, 100% onsite.
Additional Details:
Pay Range: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
