About the Job
The Asset Inventory Specialist is responsible for coordinating and documenting the asset inventory process for electrical construction equipment at all Colorado warehouses. The Specialist's main objective is to increase asset utilization among Sturgeon jobs and assist the tool room in inventorying and tracking Sturgeon assets at Sturgeon job locations, service vans, and Sturgeon warehouses/offices using the Hilti On-Track system. Maintains a perpetual inventory of material, equipment, supplies and other general stock items. Overnight travel will be required several times per year.

Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities
Essential Functions
Conduct jobsite inventories and verify existing assets against reported assets and make any corrections based on the physical count in Hilti On-Track
Inventory all Denver Metro area jobs/warehouses including Colorado Springs and northern Colorado 2X per year
Inventory all service vans minimum 2X per year. Inventory all outlying areas such as Grand Junction a minimum of 1X per year
Create and administer inventory schedule with Logistics Manager weekly
Determine inventory duration based on assigned assets, job size, and foreman feedback
Provide inventory schedule via e-mail no less than 2 weeks in advance of inventory to the job general foremen, project managers, Logistics Manager, and Ops/District Manager
Provide notification via phone call no less the 3 days prior to inventory to general foreman and project manager of upcoming inventory
Confirm job specific-start time, job-specific PPE, and confirm if escort is required
Reviews and analyzes inventory statistics
Prior to conducting jobsite inventory, generate job specific asset report in Hilti to estimate the number of assets assigned to that job
At jobsite, engrave any assets not engraved with serial number/asset number.
Affix Hilti tag to asset and enter in Hilti On-Track
Create new asset template and assign asset cost based on internet search value for new tools
After inventory, complete and compare new job specific asset report with previous report
Move all unaccounted assets to ‘Lost or Stolen Tool’ location within Hilti On-Track
Obtain signature of general foreman or project manager on new asset inventory report
Complete "End of Day" calls to upcoming project managers and general foremen
Regular and predictable attendance
Other duties as assigned
Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years of experience in electric construction preferred
- 1 year of experience in supply chain/material handling, or retail inventory experience
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Post high school level relevant education and/or training preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Solid knowledge of inventory or asset management practices
- Basic understanding of construction tools preferred, but not necessary (4-week training period provided)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Efficiency with MS Office Suite applications, specifically Word and Excel
- Working level knowledge of Hilti On-Track system preferred
- Problem-solving skills
- High awareness of Company's Safety practices and programs
- Report generation, schedule creation, and basic math skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $50,000-$55,000 / year
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
