Area Sales Manager - Building Products - Base Salary to 150k/year - Kansas City, MO
- Founded in 1997, our client is a specialty building products manufacturer who provides solutions for multifamily and hospitality projects. They are known for creating smart, architecturally significant systems that can address all application challenges while simplifying the purchasing and installation process experience for dealers, contractors and property owners alike.
- They are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team. This position will be responsible for managing, directing, and driving the sales efforts in the assigned area as well as nurturing existing and cultivating new architect, owner, developer, and GC relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Qualifies the scope of work and defines quality projects that match the capabilities and objectives of the company.
- Communicates, presents proposals and company-established pricing offers to customers.
- Supports and coordinates ongoing project change orders for customer approvals.
- Forecasts sales for the territory utilizing CRM pipeline data.
- Attends customer events, tradeshows, industry gatherings, and meetings.
- Conducts sales and training calls with independent reps.
- Conducts job site visits to engage customer site Project Managers.
- Manages day-to-day performance and activities using Salesforce.com
- Effectively presents and proposes changes and programs to the Channel Sales Manager and leadership team that would help achieve the Company objectives.
- Assists the Project Management team by successfully coordinating, supporting, and negotiating post-contract challenges.
- Identify, establish, and grow coverage & relationships, in both current and future firms
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in a related role, preferably in the multifamily/commercial building products industry.
- Established multifamily developer/architect and GC base reputation and standing relationships within the assigned market areas.
- Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred.
- This position will require travel 15% - 20% of the time.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to be a tactical thinker when navigating selling situations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and grow sales and create and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Compensation:
- Base salary to 150k/year plus quarterly bonuses
