Area Manager - Santa Claus, IN - Kimball International

Provide leadership and execution of a functional area at the plant level that ensures profitable results and customer satisfaction.



Roles and Responsibilities:

* Mentor and develop team members within organization.
* Understand, support and execute the achievement of performance measures on scorecards.
* Provide input for resources, planning and budgeting leadership to the organization.

* Responsible for capacity planning and execution of production schedules.
* High level owner of 5S implementation and adherence.
* High level owner of daily shop floor debriefs.
* Support and ownership of Safety Program, safe work practices and countermeasure actions in assigned area.
* Provide performance feedback and strategy for development of personnel.
* Represent the business unit's interests with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other Kimball business units.
* Support our Environmental Management System (EMS).




* BSME or BSIE desired
* 2 yrs. manufacturing management experience
* Previous manufacturing management experience.
* Strong mechanical knowledge
* PC literate
* Possesses knowledge of our core competencies and capabilities.
