About the Job
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will ensure all work performed adheres to required safety codes and regulations to promote a safe work environment. You will assist in installations and repairs according to the job scope and specifications provided. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform onsite work as directed by field supervisors & foremen and assist other team members where needed.
- Example tasks: installing raceways, pulling wire, mounting equipment, assembling, and installing parts/pieces, trimming outlets & fixtures.
- Be efficient with time and materials while ensuring the installation meets code requirements.
- Use and take care of the protective equipment and safety gear provided and always follow safety procedures.
- Raise, lower, or position equipment, tools, and materials, using a hoist, hand line, or block and tackle
- Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
License/Certification
Preferred:
• An Apprentice License.
Associated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Eagerness to learn the electrical trade and/or prior experience as an electrical apprentice.
- Efficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving in a timely manner.
- Provide the necessary strength and stamina for a job that involves occasional heavy lifting and flexibility.
- Be able to act on the instructions from a supervisor and work well alone or as a member of a team.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment is a plus.

Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods.
- Climbing ladders/scaffolds.
- Loud work environment with other trades.
- Some may work in dusty, dirty, hot, or wet conditions.
- Push, pull, or carry heavy fixtures/material.
- Occasionally move or lift more than 75 lbs.
- Travel may be required as per project needs 20-30%.
- May occasionally work beyond posted work hours as well as work overtime due to demand.
- Some night's work may be required.

Review Procedures
- Evaluation after 90 days of employment.
