Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for CNC machining and customer collaboration? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Applications Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise to program CNC machines, develop efficient processes, and provide hands-on training and support to customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Programming & Process Development: Program CNC machines and develop machining processes tailored to meet diverse customer requirements.
- Pre-Sale Support: Conduct pre-sale activities, including customer visits, machine assessments, and part processing recommendations to ensure optimal solutions.
- Customer Training & Setup: Train customers on Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes, as well as CNC vertical and horizontal mills, guiding them through setup and operation.
- Technical Support: Provide customer assistance via phone or on-site visits, troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges effectively.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret part prints, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in machining processes.
- Time Studies & First Runs: Create detailed time studies and oversee first part run-offs to ensure efficient production setups.
- Bar Feed Integration: Align and interface bar feed units to ensure seamless machine functionality.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining; expertise with Swiss screw machines for CNC lathe programming is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Citizen and Miyano machines is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework is preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
