Job Summary:
SAP BI/BW Developer under the position title Applications Development Analyst - Advanced. Here are the key requirements and responsibilities for the job:
Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in programming SAP ABAP S/4 (FI/CA, FI, MD, SD, GL modules) with SAP ECC 6.0 or higher.
- Preferred Experience:
- SAP ABAP work in design, coding, implementation, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Working with SAP ECC Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial (FI), and General Ledger (GL) modules.
- Extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP objects and other modern SAP technologies.
- REST Web Services, SAP Portal development, and Portal upgrades.
- Leading IT projects and facilitating meetings.
- ABAP Object-Oriented Programming, Adobe Forms, Smartforms, Print Workbench, and/or SAP Script.
- Web Dynpro ABAP/Java, cloud development, custom user exits, complex report programming, batch jobs, BADIs, implicit and explicit enhancements.
- Scheduling/maintaining batch jobs and analyzing performance.
- Developing custom applications using module pool programming flow logic and screen painter.
- Writing performance-effective interface and conversion programs handling high data volumes.
- Excellent ABAP SQL skills including complex joins.
- Coordinating customer requirements and gathering requirements.
- Writing technical specifications and design flows.
- Analyzing and researching SAP KBAs to find software solutions.
- ABAP debugging, performance analysis using Trace tools, Runtime analysis, Code Inspector, and other tools.
- Understanding of SAP ECC functional configuration.
- Upgrading SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP HANA or S/4 HANA.
- Familiarity with Native HANA transports, XS engine, web applications.
- Business Rules Framework (BRF) and BRF Plus.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, or another related field.
Responsibilities
- ABAP programming and providing analysis and systems support.
- Conducting reviews of functional specifications.
- Developing/implementing technical specifications, design diagrams, and landscape blueprints.
- Participating in ABAP code reviews.
- Developing and maintaining SAP modules FI/CA, SD, BW.
- Meeting with Functional Staff to explain program functionality.
- Mentoring less experienced Career Service ABAP programmers.
- Generating OSS notes requesting assistance from SAP headquarters.
- Researching SAP documentation for solutions to reported problems.
- Designing, coding, unit testing, debugging, and implementing SAP ABAP applications while working closely with business analysts.
- Reviewing functional specifications and creating technical design specifications.
- Providing technical development effort estimates based on functional specifications/business requirements.
