These include caring for pre-term labor, diabetics, premature rupture of membrane, hyperemesis, and other medical complications during pregnancy. In doing so, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served (child-bearing, 10-55 years of age) by the unit.
