Senior Property / Causality Commercial Underwriter – Hybrid

Our client, a large Insurance Co, has a need for a Senior Property / Causality Commercial Underwriter. You will provide third-party underwriting services and be responsible for performing captive underwriting comprised of property/casualty including workers’ compensation lines of business with account premiums ranging from $25,000 - $2,000,000 in premiums.

This is a W-2 position. No C2C Candidates Permitted with our client.

Hourly rate: $38 - $40/hr
Project Length: Until December 2025
Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintains strong relationships with agents, brokers, carrier contacts and internal department personnel.
• Works with claims and risk control teams to assist in any program service issues.
• Assists in the development and administration of complex underwriting rules and guidelines.
• Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to improve risk selection.
• Acts as a technical resource for property and casualty coverage lines of business.

• Bachelor's degree in insurance or finance from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 6 years of Commercial Insurance Underwriting Experience (Public entity preferred, not required)
• TX & P&C License Required or MUST be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Experience

• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI), Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI) and/or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) courses and/or designations preferred.

Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position
