Responsibilities:Position Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for the supervision of the Clinical Support Team within FHC Santa Ana – Family Medicine Clinic. In conjunction with Practice Manager, supervisor is responsible for interviewing, hiring, coaching, disciplinary action and termination according to UCI policies and procedures. Coordinates and schedules personnel and manages all time off requests. Trains, orients and schedules all in-services for Clinical Support Staff od department policies and procedures. Regularly audits Clinical Support Staff for competency and job function adherence and reports findings to Practice Manager for review. Monitors and directs the flow of patient care. Assists Practice Manager with the collection of productivity and other statistical data as requested.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum 4 years working in a healthcare setting in either Primary or Specialty care services
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of Competency / Recognition in Medical Assisting Clinical / Back Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
- BLS certification upon hire
- Ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Orange County healthcare market
- Knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and practices especially as relates to practice management
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Experience working in a UC and/or union environment
- Current LVN/RN license within the State of California
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
