Summary:
-
Removes, installs, and fabricates aircraft interiors, including trim, carpet, soundproofing, cabinetry, panels, and other components, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors (e.g., galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, doors, and panels).

Coordinate with supervisors and inspection teams to comply with FAA regulations, Repair Station procedures, and quality requirements.

Use the material tracking system for parts requests, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs.

Operate and maintain tools such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

Prepare and install interior components per operational procedures and quality standards.

Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners as needed.

Ensure proper use of hardware and fittings during installations.
-
Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping protocols; use personal protective equipment as required.

Address unsafe conditions to mitigate risks.

Assist with maintenance tasks under supervision.

Adapt to schedule changes.
-
Collaborate with senior technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma principles.

Create and use simple patterns for tasks.
-
Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight tests if required.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
2 years of installation, fabrication, or related experience (aerospace industry preferred).

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Skilled in using hand and power tools for interior installations.
-
Capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working any shift.

Computer literate with strong communication skills.
