PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Directs and manages overall daily operations of a site under the control of the organization with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery, supervision, and management of a facility, actively engage and support the community relations, volunteers, and membership administration. Plan, develop and oversee implementation of activities and program, ensure updated program schedules, calendars and information is active.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Leadership
- Establish Unit programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
Strategic Planning
- Plan and implement overall programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests. Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation. Work with COO to ensure reports are turned in a timely manner.
- Ensure a proper recruitment plan is in place to maintain ADA between 70-100 members throughout the year. School Year registered members 250 with ADA of 75. Summer registered members of 175 with ADA of 100.
Resource Management
- Ensure administrative and operational systems are followed. Maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including use of facilities by outside groups.
Partnership Development
- Ensure partnership with City is strong and City is looped in on all aspects operationally of the BGC.
- Ensure BGC supports Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, and organizations.
- BGC must support and collaborate/attend all contracted City events requested by City throughout the year.
Facilities and Maintenance
- Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures
- Ensure that facilities, equipment, and supplies are maintained/safe.
- Ensure facilities are welcoming and proper maintenance is carried out.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
- Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
- Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel.
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize Club.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· Always practice and lead with kindness, respect and compassion.
· Two years of college or 48 College credit units from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
· A minimum of three years work experience in a Boys and Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
· Demonstrate ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, recruitment/ retention of personnel.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· Ability to supervise, coach/ motivate staff and deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
· Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
· Submit to a fingerprint background check, submit a clean DMV H6 report form, CPR/First Aid Certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Able to climb stairs, lift items and perform active programming needs. Ability to perform any other position duties throughout the site.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
