After-School Tutor and Nanny - Wyndy

About the Family: 

A loving family in Huntsville, AL is seeking an engaging, responsible nanny to provide after-school care for their four elementary-age children (ages 7-9). Both parents work from home and need assistance transitioning the kids home from the bus, providing snacks, and helping with homework. The second grader needs extra support with studying and completing assignments. The family is looking for someone who can help foster an organized routine, while making learning fun and supportive. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with afterschool care (help with transitioning home, snacks, homework) 
• Provide extra homework support and tutoring for the 2nd grader 
• Engage with kids in a positive and supportive way 
• Help with preparing light meals/dinners (optional, not a priority) 
• Occasional light cleaning related to kids' activities 

Qualifications: 

• Experience working with elementary-age children 
• Comfortable supporting children with homework (tutoring experience a plus) 
• Reliable and proactive, with a nurturing attitude 
• Ability to maintain a structured routine for after-school care 
• Preferably experienced in managing multiple children at once 

Additional Information: 

• The children ride the bus home from school 
• Preferable start date: February 3 
• The family does not need summer care, except possibly for 2 hours/week for tutoring to help with the "summer slide"
• Ideally would like nanny who is able to resume after school schedule again in August

Schedule Notes: 

• Monday to Friday: 3:30 PM until 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM 
• Minimal summer hours (approximately 2 hours/week) for tutoring
