WSP USA is currently searching for a national Business Growth Director for our US Advisory & Planning Business Line.

The US Advisory & Planning Business Growth Director is responsible for driving top line growth as One WSP across the business and with our counterparts within the Transportation & Infrastructure, Earth & Environment, Property & Buildings, Power & Energy, and Federal end-markets. The A&P Business Growth Director is a member of A&P's Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the A&P Business Line Executive (BLE).
The Business Growth Director role is strategic, client-focused, and market-facing. The position acts as the primary representative for the Advisory & Planning business line focused on growth. They actively promote the company’s brand, values, and mission to clients, stakeholders, communities, and partners.
Approximately 60-70% of the Advisory & Planning Business Growth Director’s activities will be externally focused including the developing and growing of external and internal key client relationships; the discovery of opportunities for building the pipeline for all services across A&P, across all WSP end-markets; and maintaining a strong brand image for WSP in the USA within the industry. Internal responsibilities will focus on delivering A&P Business Line's sales goals and key performance indicators, maintaining the growth orientation of A&P's leadership team, and participation in the development and execution of A&P's strategic business plan, including collaborating and partnering with all of WSP USA’s Business Line leadership to build client engagement plans, and to drive positioning, teaming, and winning capture plans.

Your Impact:
+ Be responsible for developing and executing Advisory & Planning’s business growth strategy
+ Bring a deep understanding of infrastructure development and support clients early and throughout the development lifecycle
+ Partner to develop and implement A&P's strategic plan
+ Identify, qualify and engage in key pursuits and project opportunities through market research, networking and referrals to form a robust and active pipeline of opportunities
+ Assist in identifying and recruiting key personnel necessary to win and deliver top opportunities
+ Establish and maintain relationships with key client decision-makers including conducting client meetings to understand project needs, identify opportunities and gather client feedback for A&P services
+ Track sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and monitor performance against business development goals
+ Work with our Global Client Program to develop specific tactical plans for extending WSP services for key clients across all business lines including serving as a catalyst for client coordination and cross-selling efforts in coordination with regional leaders and client account leaders.
+ Partner with leadership to develop and monitor business development budgets, civic and professional organization participation, and coaching client engagement teams
+ Perform as the champion and coordinator of A&P's relationships with clients
+ Provide personal engagement and leadership to our major pursuit strategies, proposals, and interview preparations
+ Deliver firm-wide resources to the key initiatives by building and maintaining strong relationships across all of WSP’s business lines, end markets, and regions
+ Partner with the Strategic Growth Team (SGT) team, who is responsible for the execution of A&P's marketing and sales needs
+ Collaborate with the Regional Business Executives and Government Affairs Team to supervise A&P's civic engagement program
+ Represent A&P through involvement in high-impact client and industry events
+ Foster partnerships in the industry to inform A&P's choices on building teams for the key pursuits
+ Partner with Corporate Communications leadership in developing and implementing the external brand and communications strategy to remain the trusted thought leaders in our industry and ensure clients are aware of the firm’s initiatives, projects, and people.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business, Finance, Planning, Public Policy, or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
+ Minimum 15 years of infrastructure consulting including at least five years of successful experience in developing client relationships, business development and management role for a national business
+ Specific expertise in the infrastructure industry and established relationships with teaming partners and key client decision makers
+ Proven track record in business development, with experience growing a business in generating leads and expanding market presence in the public and private sectors
+ Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability; persistent, and goal-oriented; able to effectively network across the organization at all levels (senior executive to Early Grad)
+ Ability to innovate and re-think the conventional approach to client and employee engagement.
+ Strong influencing skills: ability to inform, define, and influence decision-makers based on facts and logic; ability to build consensus and rapidly resolve conflict in the interest of broader WSP.
+ Commitment to internal and external client service.
+ Experience in leading and winning major strategic pursuits
+ Excellent communication skills (presenting and writing)
+ Organized, self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
+ Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $178,100- $365,200
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $190,000-$391,100
