General Description / Purpose:
The BBB seeks an Advertising Programs Specialist to sell online advertising on BBB.org in the Chicagoland market. The role involves presenting the value of BBB Directory's online visibility programs to BBB Accredited Businesses. Ideal candidates have experience in inside sales, cold-calling, digital and directory advertising sales, and a familiarity with Google Ad products. Self-motivation and consulting skills to help businesses grow are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities: include the following, but are not limited to:
- Understand all advertising programs available to Accredited Businesses, including Directory, Google, Magazine, and custom solution advertising.
- Conduct outbound cold calls to BBB Accredited Businesses.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain activity requirements of 40 daily calls and 10 advertising meetings per week.
- Source leads for potential new advertisers.
- Work from lists provided by the Digital Advertising Manager.
- Perform online screen-share demos to showcase advertising solutions.
- Create custom advertising proposals based on current pricing and packages.
- Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Manage outstanding accounts receivable and past-due amounts.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of inside phone sales experience.
- 2-3 years of digital advertising sales experience recommended.
- Experience with search, display, and online directory advertising.
- Excellent phone and email communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing/Advertising preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Google Ads Sales Certification is a plus.
