Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for the inpatient Lymphoma/Myeloma and Leukemia Services. The APP in this role will work in inpatient Leukemia or Lymphoma/Myeloma, depending upon the area of the greatest need. The APP will provide comprehensive care to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of medical oncology inpatients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care in addition to performing procedures like bone marrow biopsies and aspirations. This is a great opportunity to gain expertise in multiple disease types.
Key Qualifications:
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state license
- BLS & ACLS certification
- Experience in hematology oncology is required, APP experience is preferred
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- Related National NP certification
- BLS & ACLS certification
- Experience in hematology-oncology is required, APP experience is preferred
- Strategic Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to make timely and effective decisions.
- Inpatient Proficiency: Skilled at thriving within a fast-paced inpatient environment.
- Planning and Prioritization: Expert in efficiently planning and prioritizing tasks.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Capable of adjusting approach to meet evolving demands and changing circumstances.
Hours: 3-4 12 hour shifts a week Mon-Fri/ with flexible weekend and holiday rotation
Location: 1275 York Avenue, New York NY
This role is open to new and experienced APPs with heme onc experience
Procedures such as bone marrow transplant, bone aspirations, lumbar punctures will be required
Pay Range $144,000-182,000KReporting to: Manager, APP
